Radiation Therapist – Radiation Oncology (Lancaster/Antelope Valley) (Full Time) - Eligible for $20,000 sign on bonus!

Join our team as a Radiation Therapist I/II, where you will play a vital role in delivering radiation therapy to patients according to physician prescriptions and established standards! Your responsibilities may include a range of procedures, such as IMRT, SRS, SBRT, TBI, TBE, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy, and CT-based simulations. In addition to patient care, you will provide clinical instruction to students, contributing to their education and development in the field. As for our equipment, we utilize a Varian 2100iX with onboard imager/cone beam CT. Join us in providing exceptional care to our patients and mentoring the next generation of radiation therapists!

As a successful candidate, you will:
  • Deliver a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy to patients of all ages.
  • Reinforce recommendations given to patient by healthcare professional concerning reaction to treatment and care of radiated area, prevention, or treatment of generalized and local side effects.
  • Perform simulation procedures as prescribed by physician and assist in dosimetry procedures.
  • Perform daily quality assurance checks on linear accelerators, reporting any variation in morning warm-up. Reports improper equipment operation to appropriate personnel.
Your qualifications should include:
  • High School or equivalent; Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in an accredited Radiation Therapy Education Program
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology course plus radiation therapy course OR Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy Program
  • Licensed by the California State Department of Health (Certified in Radiation Therapy)
  • Certification by the ARRT – in Radiation Therapy CRT
  • BLS or CPRNote: For candidates with >3 years of experience: Radiation Therapist II (Pay Range: $58.56/hr - $73.20/hr - $87.8425/hr)
    • For candidates with <3 years of experience: Radiation Therapist I (Pay Range: $53.37/hr - $66.70/hr - $80.055/hr)
