Job description
Overview

Quality Assurance Inspector role with Guy F Atkinson for civil/roadway and bridges/structures projects in the Puget Sound area (Everett to Lacey). Atkinson is a premier heavy civil contractor performing QA inspection and testing on design-build projects, focusing on critical transportation improvements in the region. The company has a backlogged workload for the next 5 to 7 years with ongoing new bids.

Responsibilities
  • On-site during all work activities to inspect, verify materials, and document construction for contract compliance.
  • Perform necessary testing and documentation to accept items such as rebar, concrete, aggregate, lighting systems, bolts, etc.
  • Complete an Inspection Daily Report (IDR) detailing observations and communications with project owner, subcontractors, and Atkinson personnel.
  • Report to the Construction Quality Assurance manager and receive training from management, field staff, and quality experts.
  • Contribute to a team of Inspectors/Technicians and support region’s infrastructure projects.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications
  • Three (3) years’ relevant work experience, plus a technical or Associate’s degree, or five (5) years of relevant inspection experience.
  • Certifications preferred: ICC, ACI, Nuclear Gauge, WABO, WAQTC, and/or CWI.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and navigate uneven construction sites.
Compensation and Benefits

Base salaries are determined by location, education, skills, experience, and market considerations. For this role the base salary range is $77,968.80 to $187,200.
