Program Coordinator /Patient Scheduler - Urology Clinic

Harborview Medical Center - Urology Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Full-time Days Program Coordinator.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Organize work and appropriately prioritize patient care and/or projects with occasional assistance from supervisor
  • Objectively assist in developing systems that improve responsiveness to patients
  • Exhibit well‑developed critical thinking skills, particularly in ambiguous situations
  • Demonstrate ability to operate with minimal day‑to‑day direction or oversight
  • Coordinate complex scheduling of diagnostic procedures and consultations; work with PSS to schedule less complex referrals and appointments with scheduling directions in place
  • Facilitate scheduling of urgent referrals and procedures, working closely with the clinic medical director to triage using knowledge of surgical procedure‑specific diagnoses and CPT codes
  • Triage patient phone calls according to severity of need; follow through and resolve patient requests in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with Business Operations Supervisor and PSS to create, update and maintain all clinic templating that meets the needs of patients, clinic staff and providers
  • Sit at the front desk on clinic day to assist with scheduling follow‑ups when patients leave their appointments
Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty, OR equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
