Overview

The Georgia Department of Public Health seeks a PH Registered Nurse Supervisor to supervise staff at HIV care centers, provide professional nursing care, lead quality improvement initiatives, manage daily operations, and support for MD/APRN. This role includes oversight of the Immunization program, lab services, and HRSA data management.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and provide leadership to assigned staff at HIV care centers.
  • Provide professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and procedures.
  • Lead quality improvement (QI) initiatives, daily operations, staffing, and support for MD/APRN.
  • Oversee Immunization program, lab services, and data management for HRSA deliverables.
  • Assess and evaluate client care, clinic flow, and staff efficiency while delivering quality client care.
  • Coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care plans.
Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within one (1) year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification; or two (2) years of experience at the lower-level PH Registered Nurse 3 (HCP192) or position equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

At least two years of previous RN experience in an outpatient HIV/AIDS treatment setting. Two or more years of experience as a Nurse Supervisor.
