A public university in California is seeking a part-time lecturer for the Computer Science and Software Engineering Department for the 2025-2026 academic year. Part-Time Lecturer Pool - Computer Science & Software Engineering (AY 25/26) at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), San Luis Obispo. Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice. The Computer Science and Software Engineering Department seeks part-time lecturer positions during the 2025-2026 academic year. Part-time appointments are made from a pool of accepted applicants, as determined by need, and contingent on funding. Responsibilities include teaching computer science, software engineering or computer engineering courses. Candidates with extensive industry experience are encouraged to apply.
Education Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank.
