For employees that have been injured, we work diligently to recuperate them back to health and productivity at work.

This is a PRN position- Toledo, OH (2 locations)

Responsibilities
  • First-aid and emergency care for employees, contract employees, and visitors.
  • Care for occupational illness and injury.
  • Assessment and referral for other than minor occupational illness or injury care, in accordance with Workers’ Compensation and regulations.
  • Limited supportive care and /or referral for non-occupational medical conditions.
  • Medical examinations: pre-placement physicals, transfer, fitness, return to work, termination, temporary/permanent disability determination, etc.
  • Medical examinations or tests for monitoring occupational exposures.
  • Medical status evaluations to assist in the case management of compensable illness or injury claimants.
  • Medical status evaluations to assist in the case management of employees on extended (non-occupational) sickness disability leave.
  • Assistance and advisory services to Wellbeing, Health & Safety (WHS) and Managerial Personnel.
  • Epidemiological surveillance: Be alert to clusters or patterns of illnesses or risks that may be evidenced while providing services and shall communicate such observations promptly. Participate in special health studies or health trend analysis that may be arranged by Plant / Corporate Medical Operations and conducted by consultant services.
  • Wellness and health promotion services are provided by a third party. The on-site medical staff will be asked, however, to coordinate with the various vendors to improve the efficacy of those programs. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • The on-site occupational provider shall be licensed to practice medicine in the State where he or she is assigned, preferably Board Certified in Occupational Medicine, or leading toward certification with three years of experience in Occupational Medicine.
  • Each on-site occupational provider will be the Leader of their respective medical department.
  • Each on-site occupational provider must be knowledgeable in OSHA record keeping and compliance.
  • Each on-site occupational provider must manage disability and workers compensation cases.
  • Each on-site occupational provider must be able to respond to emergencies anywhere on the plant premises and participate in emergency drills.
  • The on-site occupational provider will provide advisory and consulting services to Plant Management, Chief Physician, and Corporate Medical Operations in a timely manner, and will generally assist Stellantis in Occupational Medicine Services.
  • Immunizations.
  • Epidemiological surveillance: Be alert to clusters or patterns of illnesses or risks that may be evidenced while providing services and shall communicate such observations promptly. Participate in special health studies or health trend analysis that may be arranged by Plant / Corporate Medical Operations and conducted by consultant services.
