A leading beverage company is seeking a National Account Executive to manage sales for its Direct Store Delivery beverage business at 7-Eleven. The ideal candidate will have significant CPG sales experience, strong business acumen, and proficiency in data analysis. This role is remote, based in the Dallas-Ft Worth area, and requires occasional travel for corporate meetings. The National Account Executive (NAE) will be responsible for sales of Keurig Dr Pepper’s (KDP’s) Direct Store Delivery (DSD) beverage business at 7-Eleven HQ. The NAE will serve as a critical member of the sales team who contributes to the strategic direction of the national customer relationships. This role contributes to volume, profit and share growth by driving distribution and availability across KDP’s Direct Store Delivery (DSD) beverage portfolio.
The ideal candidate is a results-oriented and collaborative professional with strong business acumen. They will have experience building a strategic annual operating plan (AOP), managing trade budgets, supporting DSD execution, as well as the ability to effectively manage complex customer situations and drive business growth. This individual must proactively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions to influence and help with execution of the 7-Eleven account strategy. Knowledge of DSD Beverage and the Convenience channel would be a plus.
Location and Travel:
Remote (Work from Home) - This role will be based in Frisco, TX or the surrounding Dallas-Ft Worth area and will require travel for customer business management and corporate meetings as needed.
Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with 7-Eleven and internal key stakeholders such as Revenue Growth Management, Channel Strategy, Category Management, Omni Marketing, Route to Market and Partner Brand teams.
Build collaborative relationships with customer field operations and Franchisees to support 7-Eleven and KDP growth.
Develop short- and long-term joint business plans (JBP) including all elements necessary to deliver profitable growth based on the customer and KDP strategic priorities
Manage promotional plans within assigned trade budget to optimize net sales and margin.
Strong executive presence with ability to lead presentations with senior management internally and externally
Maximize and execute trade budgets against promotional plans/calendars to deliver profitable growth
Sell key initiatives to Partner brand and bottlers/ distributor decision makers, ensuring execution of strategies and plans
Utilize internal, syndicated, and point of sale (POS) data to identify opportunities and adjust plans to meet and exceed annual goals and objectives.
Leverage internal data tools to drive improved service and execution with DSD partners.
Understand key customer scorecard metrics and identify solutions to improve performance against benchmarks & KDIs
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 5 years of CPG sales experience
DSD and/or Beverage experience strongly preferred
Expertise in using Circana, Nielsen Scantrak, or other syndicated data
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for data analysis and presentations.
