Job Summary

The Corporate Banking Middle Office Invest Banking Analyst is broadly responsible for coordinating and supporting the closing corporate/Investment Banking transactions in various lines of business such as (but not limited to) Funds Finance, Asset-Based-Leasing, and Aviation. In this team, Analysts provide daily operational support to our Front Office Account Officers and coordinate with the Back Office to ensure proper booking of transactions. This role is crucial in facilitating smooth operation of closing activities, which directly impacts the bank's profitability and client satisfaction.

Major Responsibilities
  • Maintain a pipeline of upcoming closings for new, amendment, renewal, and terminations.
  • Communicate with Front Office to collect required documents and material for closings, escalating issues if necessary.
  • Monitor the progress of closing process and ensure timely completion.
  • Process the initial facility set-up and booking of material data in the Bank’s internal system(s).
  • Prepare Closing Memorandums accurately and promptly for AVP review and for distribution to the Back Office.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service with quick response time and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare various reports for reconciliation.
  • Liaise and coordinate pre-closing requirements with internal teams (Portfolio Management, Syndications, Credit, Loan and Agency Services, Finance, Legal, and Back Office).
  • Assist with ad-hoc inquiries.
  • Execute best practices of control, risk mitigation and escalation.
  • Participate in projects and provide input with various working groups, with the goal to continually enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Comply with Banking Regulations and Standard Practices daily.
  • Monitor and manage cases in ServiceCloud.
Qualifications
  • An undergraduate degree plus 1- 3 years of Investment Banking and/or loan closing experience, or equivalent knowledge is preferred.
  • Understanding of the Loan product/financial services, preferably within Corporate Banking.
  • Prior experience working in a Corporate or similar environment that emphasizes multi-tasking and prioritization.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with team members and senior management across and within the lines of business.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
  • Efficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate in a challenging and rapidly changing environment with a desire to accept new assignments.
  • Ability to learn new principles and dynamic systems quickly.
  • Critical decision-making abilities to identify, escalate, and propose solutions to problems.
  • Ability to multi-task through strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Prior experience or willingness to learn to read credit agreements.
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure and produce results.
  • Commitment to perform at the highest level at all times.
  • Proven history of strong work ethics and office conduct.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $70K - $81K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
