Job description

The Marketing Manager is responsible for creating opportunities to educate and engage exhibitors about our products and services to increase pre-show discretionary through our ecommerce platform for all shows in North America. This includes collaborating with products and services to strategize on new product launches, developing marketing collateral to incorporate into sales and nurture campaigns and working with the Exhibitor Success Pre-Show team to support targeted exhibitor campaigns. The Exhibitor Marketing Manager will also be the marketing liaison with GES logistics, Electrical and ShowTech to support their marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Drive exhibitors to our ecommerce platform through marketing automation and email nurture campaigns to achieve sales goals for exhibitor revenue across North America.
  • Leverage key Market of functionality such as tokens and dynamic content to reduce execution time and increase consistency across all Marketo programs.
  • Manage the uploading of text, graphics, and multimedia content into the full suite of Marketo templates and campaign programs.
  • Educate and train members of the marketing team and other relevant teams on how best to structure their content to streamline workflow and maximize Marketo’s potential.
  • Communicate parameters clearly with each content contributor, also identifying how best to modify their content if, for example, headlines are too long, or edits need to be made; focus on resolving time‑consuming and repeating delays.
  • Collaborate with the Exhibitor Success Team to develop exhibitor content and assist with publishing new content for the purpose of promoting our products and services.
  • Partner with the products, services, logistics, and electrical teams as well as collective brands to develop content and strategize on email nurture campaigns to engage repeat customers.
  • Work with marketers across our team and in our company to ensure proper messaging, timing, and execution of multi‑channel campaigns.
  • Document processes in a standard operating procedure (SOP) for transparency.

Qualifications

The position requires a person who is very organized and great with prioritizing, organizing and planning in order to see each job through completion and able to meet given deadlines.

  • At least 3 years of recent experience using marketing automation software such as Marketo.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing.
  • Creativity and problem‑solving aptitude.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
  • Meet deadlines while producing quality work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Embrace and promote a collaborative and positive team culture.
  • Solutions‑oriented thinker with the ability to manage projects and expectations of internal/external clients and team members.
  • Personable, presentable and articulate.
  • Strong project and time management skills as well as attention to detail.
  • Computer proficient with Microsoft Office; specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
