Overview

Manager, Clinical Operations Medical Director - Genetic Testing

Location: This role requires in-office presence 3 days per week to foster collaboration, with flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. Candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance will not be considered unless an accommodation is granted by law. Alternate locations may be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Provides day-to-day guidance, support, and leadership for clinical and quality activities and assists the Medical Director in ensuring clinical integrity of broad and significant clinical programs.
  • Supports clinicians in daily tasks, participates in peer-to-peer discussions and office visits with providers and external physicians as needed.
  • May participate in a physician on-call rotation for a 24x7 pre-certification unit.
  • Assists in practitioner appeal reviews, appropriateness criteria reviews, medical policy and technology assessments, quality improvement initiatives, and practitioner/provider credentialing.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates the performance of direct reports.
Minimum Requirements
  • MD or DO degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with expertise in medical management.
  • Board certification required where applicable to duties.
  • For associates in Puerto Rico who are member or patient facing in a clinical setting or in the Best Transportation unit, a current PR health certificate and a current PR Law 300 certificate are required.
Compensation and Location

For candidates working in person or virtually in the following location(s), the salary range for this position is $232,596 to $382,122.

Locations: District of Columbia, Illinois, Nevada

  • The salary range and compensation may vary by geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. Bonus, benefits, and other compensation components are determined at the Company’s sole discretion and are subject to applicable policies and plans.
