Position Details:

Facility: BayCare Health System, Admitting and Registration ER-St. Josephs Main and Children's
Location: Tampa, FL
Status: Full Time, Salaried

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing, planning and overseeing all aspects of Access Services including front desk, registration, cashier, financial counseling, medical records, coding, scheduling, insurance verification and authorization, and up-front collections, to ensure efficient and timely access for all patients.
  • Establishes programs, policies & procedures to maximize utilization of all available resources while maintaining high levels of quality, technology and customer satisfaction.
  • Develops and implements policies in conjunction with Patient Accounts & Billing Office, Medical Records, Coding and Patient Services to provide quality care and maximize reimbursement for all services rendered.
  • Prepares and analyzes management information and develops department goals and objectives.
  • Performs all of these functions in a manner that complies with standards established by hospital or other administration, medical staff, and outside regulatory and accreditation agencies.
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

  • Required - 1 year - Management
  • Required - 4 years - Coordinator Role in a related field
  • Required - 6 years - Registration; Or - 6 years - Patient Accounts; Or - 10 years - Registration; And - 2 years - Coordinator Role in a related field
  • Required Or - 2 years - Relevant experience with Bachelors
Education
  • Required - High School or Equivalent
  • Preferred - Associates - Business or Healthcare
Credentials
  • Required- Drivers License
  • Preferred- AAHAM Cert Patient Account Technician (CPAT)
  • Preferred - Reg Health Information Tech (RHIT)
