Job Title: Logistics Specialist- Bilingual-Spanish

Must be Bilingual Spanish!!

Must have experience with processing Export Shipments preferably to other countries in North America!!

Responsibilities

• Organize and review the prompt shipment of products and materials, utilizing approved carriers and the most appropriate mode of transport to meet delivery expectations.
• Coordinate the import and export of goods, including scheduling shipments, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
• Monitor changes in international trade laws and regulations and provide recommendations for compliance.
• Gather and analyze logistics data to assess current state and opportunities for future improvements.
• Address routine and unexpected disruptions in the supply chain to keep products moving.
• Support the timely and accurate movement of materials, components, and finished goods within the warehouse to ensure continuous support of production operations.
• Perform duties related to receiving and shipping machines, machine parts, spares, laminate, labels, inks, and other commodities as required.
• Maintain and upkeep all respective order and shipment records.
• Administer day-to-day department tasks related to planning, shipping, receiving, and compliance.
• Prepare and review shipping documents, ensuring accurate classification of goods.
• Resolve issues related to customs clearance in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Create and maintain databases and/or spreadsheets with logistics data for reporting and compliance.
• Develop and implement logistics KPIs, providing recommendations for process improvements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a customs compliance program.
• Manage freight bill payment process, coding, and auditing of shipments.
• Oversee the carrier freight claim process to ensure timely submission and completion of all claims.
• Prioritize and plan shipments to meet agreed-upon customer ship dates.
• Process sales orders and shipping documentation via ERP systems and other associated software.
• Communicate regarding shipment issues such as shortages, overages, or damaged goods for resolution.
• Act as a backup for the Logistics Manager and support the Logistics Coordinator and/or Logistics Clerk workload as needed.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience and knowledge of international import/export practices, including tariff schedules and Harmonized System (HS) codes.
• Experience in supply chain or logistics.
• Vendor management experience with carriers, forwarders, and 3PLs.
• Experience with transactional work in ERP systems.
• Experience with continuous improvement and/or project management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with query database functionality (Power BI, SQL).
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Work Environment

The position is fully on-site with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The dress code is business casual, with no jeans allowed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr.
