This posting establishes a pool of candidates to fill temporary, non-tenure-track lecturer positions in Architecture. This posting does not necessarily reflect a current, open position. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50%) and will be made semester-by-semester as teaching needs arise. The pool is anticipated to remain active through August 2026; applications may apply to future pools after that date.
The Department of Architecture in the College of Architecture and Planning at the University of Colorado Denver seeks a pool of Lecturers from which future appointments will be made. Lecturers selected from this pool will teach six-credit-hour design studios in undergraduate and/or graduate programs. Teaching modes may include in-person, hybrid, online, or remote formats. Lecturers must have expertise and experience in architectural design, including knowledge of different design paradigms, design skills, and approaches to project design. They should be able to develop and manage student projects through constructive criticism and use of technologies from technical drafting to advanced digital design tools and visualization software. If applying to a non-studio course, applicants must demonstrate expertise in the area of focus. If interested in teaching a three-credit-hour course, highlight this in the cover letter.
