A global food service company in Tampa is seeking a Lead Host to provide exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for guests. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in food service, possess strong communication skills, and be organized and empathetic. This role requires flexibility in scheduling and offers a lively work environment, supporting the mission of enhancing guest satisfaction.
We?re looking for an artist in disguise, a jack-of-all-trades, or better yet, a Lead Host! That someone special will be the first impression our customers have and the lasting impression of customer service they leave with.
In this role all about social connection, a smile and sincere greeting goes a long way. If you?re organized, empathetic, and work efficiently, this is the job for you. Not only will you help greet and seat guests at dining locations, but you?ll also play a key role in providing general help to guests and solving any issues to make sure our customers leave happily.

Essential functions and responsibilities?of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements?and business needs.
Serve as the point person for all host-related operations
Greet and seat guests with warmth, professionalism, and efficiency
Oversee the host team, providing direction, training, and real-time coaching
Strategically manage the seating chart and pacing to optimize service and guest satisfaction
Handle high-pressure guest situations with poise and problem-solving
Collaborate with managers and service staff to ensure smooth transitions between shifts
Take ownership of the reservation system, waitlists, and guest communication
Maintain a calm, composed presence during peak business hour

Previous host/hostess or food service experience required
Demonstrates excellent guest service skills
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrates strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
The ideal candidate has a flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Enjoys working in a lively environment
Must be able to obtain food safety certification
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
