Position Summary
The Information Technology (IT) Manager provides strategic leadership and hands‑on management of the company’s technology infrastructure, data systems, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications across three locations. This position is responsible for aligning technology initiatives with business goals, driving digital transformation, and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of all IT systems. The IT Manager oversees infrastructure, software maintenance, data management, report development, light workflow development, and support operations while leading a team of IT professionals.
Primary Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute the organization’s IT roadmap to support operational efficiency, growth, and innovation.
- Lead and mentor IT staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee IT budgets, procurement, vendor management, and technology investments.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic adoption to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, data privacy regulations, and industry best practices.
Systems & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of databases and enterprise software.
- Manage data centers, providers, virtual environments (VMware, Hyper‑V), and cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365).
- Maintain and enhance IT security frameworks, including firewalls, patch management, and access controls.
- Ensure system uptime, reliability, and disaster recovery readiness in collaboration with third‑party providers.
- Supervise network design, organization, and monitoring across all facilities.
Database & Application Management
- Install, configure, and upgrade database tools and processes.
- Administer Microsoft SQL Server databases – monitoring performance, implementing tuning, overseeing security, and performing backup and recovery operations.
- Design and implement schemas, tables, indexes, and stored procedures to support enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with developers and analysts to optimize queries and ensure seamless application integration.
- Ensure & oversee database‑related compliance, patching, and documentation of policies, procedures, and standards.
Business Systems & Automation
- Oversee implementation and integration of enterprise systems including Microsoft Dynamics GP, Cyrious Control, and other line‑of‑business applications.
- Lead automation and process‑improvement initiatives using Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
- Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI, Crystal Reports, and SSRS.
- Manage the development of automated workflows and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) solutions to increase efficiency.
- Leverage Visual Basic and SQL scripting to support custom reporting and legacy applications.
Security, Backup, Disaster Recovery
- Implement, maintain, and ensure third‑party provider backup and recovery strategies, including disaster recovery testing.
- Ensure system compliance with cybersecurity policies, encryption standards, and access management protocols.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to meet compliance standards.
Cross‑Departmental Collaboration
Partner with department heads to identify technological needs and develop solutions that improve business processes. Communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical staff and executive leadership.
