KORT Physical Therapy is seeking an In Home Staff Physical Therapist in Louisville, KY. This is a treating clinical position with travel required to different home care settings, between centers, doctor’s offices, and patient homes for therapy treatments. We provide preventative and rehabilitative services in the home to improve quality of life for the community.

Overview

Schedule: Monday–Friday (some Saturdays)

Compensation: starting at $70,000 annual base and up pending experience

Coverage area: Downtown and West Louisville

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, plan, and administer physical therapy treatment for patients with injuries, muscle, nerve, joint, and bone disorders or diagnoses to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
  • Travel to different home care settings, between clinics, doctor’s offices, and patients’ homes.
  • Evaluate the home environment for rehab and make appropriate recommendations to increase client independence.
  • Develop, prepare, and maintain individualized client care progress records with accuracy and timeliness, in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
  • Supervise physical therapy assistants by directing, participating in, and presenting continuing education programs; assume administrative/supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the director.
  • Educate clients, caregivers, and health care teams in the phases of physical therapy, use of prosthetic and orthotic devices, and durable medical equipment as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Licensed physical therapist in the state of employment.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a physical therapist.
  • Outpatient clinical experience in lieu of experience if currently a student.
  • Automobile liability insurance and a current unrestricted driver’s license.
  • CPR certification or complete training required.
