Overview of the Enterprise Data Group Organization

To strengthen governance and control, Citi created the Enterprise Data group. This group supports wholesale and counterparty credit risk management, coordinates with Independent Risk teams, and ensures alignment on business and regulatory goals. The data transformation effort focuses on delivering timely, accurate, and complete data to inform business operations, risk analyses, scenario planning, and regulatory reporting, while reducing siloed processes and legacy systems.

Overview of the Role

The Business Analytics Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional who applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge to develop new techniques and improve processes within the area. The role requires strong analytical skills to filter, prioritize, and validate complex information from multiple sources, and involves leadership and coaching responsibilities within teams. The position has a meaningful impact on projects, geography, and decision-making through advisory and collaborative work with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Gathers operational data from cross-functional stakeholders to examine past business performance
• Identifies data patterns and trends, and provides insights to enhance business decision making in planning, process improvement, and solution assessment
• Recommends actions for future developments and strategic opportunities, and enhancements to operational policies
• May be involved in exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis, and/or qualitative analysis
• Translates data into consumer or customer behavioral insights to inform targeting and segmentation, and communicates findings to business partners and senior leaders
• Continuously improves processes and strategies by evaluating new data sources, tools, and capabilities
• Works with internal and external partners to build, implement, track, and improve decision strategies
• Assesses risk in business decisions, upholding Citi’s policies and regulatory requirements, and escalates/records control issues with transparency
