Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing sustainable HSE procedures; supporting the effective rollout to all departments with continued maintenance to ensure reliability.
  • To support the HSE Coordinator in the establishment and management of the Health, Safety and Environmental functions.
Responsibilities
  • Support the HSE Coordinator in driving a proactive health, safety and environmental culture
  • Manage and maintain risk assessments, COSHH compliance, and HSE documentation
  • Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and safety briefings across the site
  • Carry out inspections, audits, and monitoring to ensure compliance and drive improvements
  • Coordinate waste management, pollution control, and environmental initiatives
  • Lead or support site HSE committee meetings and develop safety initiatives
  • Oversee PPE requirements and first aid arrangements
  • Liaise with Corporate and EMEA teams to ensure consistency in HSE processes
  • Deputise for the HSE Manager when required
Requirements And Preferred Skills
  • 2–4 years of experience in an HSE role within manufacturing, engineering, or oil & gas
  • Proven experience as an internal auditor with hands-on knowledge of HSE management systems, including OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001
  • Minimum Level 5 HSE qualification (or equivalent) such as NEBOSH, NVQ, or NCRQ
  • Active member of a relevant professional body such as IOSH, IEMA, or IIRSM
