Hospice On‑Call Registered Nurse, RN

Join Suncrest Hospice, a Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) certified hospice that aims to change hospice care expectations by providing exceptional care and service to patients.

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a full‑time on‑call position (7 days on / 7 days off). You will provide skilled nursing care during on‑call hours, respond promptly to patient needs, triage calls, and make in‑home visits as necessary while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled nursing care and support to hospice patients during on‑call hours.
  • Respond promptly to patient needs, triage calls, and make in‑home visits as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
  • Support patients and families through compassionate communication and clinical expertise.
Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (in good standing) in the state(s) of practice with at least one year of licensed experience.
  • Previous hospice or home health experience strongly preferred.
  • Team‑oriented; works well with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and CNA leadership.
  • Independent, self‑directed work style with strong phone, e‑mail, and documentation skills.
  • Strong time‑management skills to manage visits, documentation, meetings, and urgent needs.
  • Willingness to drive across the service area with reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
  • Ability to learn an electronic medical records system.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary of $85,000–$95,000 per year with additional monthly bonus potential.
