Job description

We are looking for a motivated Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join the Martin Marietta team as a Heavy Equipment Repair Specialist.

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Essential Functions
  • Ability to work safely at all times.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment including CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment and diesel engines.
  • Mechanically inclined on a wide variety of hand tools and power tools.
  • Weld, cut, and perform minor fabrication on plant or mobile equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment and diesel engine repairs.
  • Certification from a trade school is preferred.
  • Previous mining experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • A CDL and a clean driving record.
Work Environment

This full‑time position typically requires 40+ hours per week in a surface and/or underground mine setting and involves frequent operation of heavy equipment.
