Overview

Client is seeking a Finance Manager (Finance Analyst 3) to support all finance-related activities, strategic initiatives, and multi-million-dollar budgets. This role partners with senior leadership to manage agreements, faculty metric bonuses, budget planning, and financial reporting for centrally-managed programs.

Base pay

$42.00/hr - $52.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Develop complex budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses; run ad hoc reports and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Lead sponsored project management, ensuring compliance with GAAP, Uniform Guidance, FAR, and other regulations.
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, and recommend solutions for operational efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls, process improvements, and compliance programs.
  • Supervise, coach, and support finance staff; provide training on new systems.
  • Collaborate across teams in clinical research, academic medicine, and healthcare finance projects.
Required skills & experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related fields.
  • Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for research or healthcare organizations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP/financial systems (Oracle, SeRA, Hyperion, etc.).
  • Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
Preferred qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or MBA.
  • Experience in academic medicine or healthcare finance.
Work arrangement

Hybrid or fully remote, depending on operational needs.
