Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing rate cases by providing general accounting assistance, analysis, and forecasting of the need for and timing of rate increases; support preparation of base rate case minimum filing requirements as required.
  • Assist in preparing revenue and billing analysis, rate case support schedules, exhibits, testimonies, answers to interrogatories, and support for witness litigation processes. Interface with other departments to determine future rate case adjustments.
  • Assist in preparing timely and accurate regulatory filings such as Quarterly DSIC, Earnings Reports, Original Cost Studies, and any Commission‑directed requests for information. Support other regulatory filings including Asset Optimization Plans, Long‑Term Infrastructure Improvement Plans, and Annual Depreciation Studies.
  • Assist with updates to the company’s Water and Wastewater tariffs and ensure tariffs are posted to internal and external websites.
  • Support the Manager of Rates and Planning and the Regional Controller on potential acquisition due diligence, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, finance and accounting due diligence, tariff and rate design, expense analysis, presentation preparation, application preparation and original cost study filings.
  • Support the Manager of Rates and Planning with coordination, preparation, analysis, and consolidation of the annual operating budget, interfacing with various business owners to complete the budget.
  • Support the Manager of Rates and Planning and the Regional Controller in the preparation, analysis, and submission of the strategic business plan.
  • Track organization’s progress against financial goals. Build and maintain financial models, reports, variance analyses, ad‑hoc reports, and other complex financial models. Continuously streamline work processes by modifying and automating reports.
  • Develop and administer training (as required) to internal stakeholders regarding capitalization, tax repair, and budgeting policies of Aqua Pennsylvania, Inc.
  • Research and perform comparative analyses of public utility issues.
  • Identify trends and developments in competitive environments.
  • Prepare forecasts and analysis of trends in finance and general business.
  • Collect and analyze financial information.
  • Reconcile accounts.
  • Perform other assignments as required.

  • BA/BS Degree required.
  • 2–5 Years of experience.
