What You’ll Be Doing

As the Director, LED Systems, you will lead the strategy, execution, and technical oversight of all LED operations and technologies. Your primary goal will be to ensure the deployment of high-performance LED systems that meet the visual and creative demands of live events, corporate experiences, and large-scale productions.

Strategic Roadmap & Execution – Establish and execute the strategic roadmap for LED systems, meticulously aligning it with LMG’s production goals and the latest industry advancements.

Operational Oversight – Oversee all facets of LED operations, including show prep, system design, workflow standardization, and strategic technology selection.

Team Leadership & Development – Lead and develop a nationwide team of LED managers, technicians, and specialists, fostering an environment of technical excellence, accountability, and a growth mindset.

Cross-Functional Partnership – Partner closely with executive leadership, sales, and operations teams to seamlessly align LED capabilities with evolving client demands and overall business strategy.

Flawless Solution Delivery – Collaborate closely with Production Managers, Account Executives, and other discipline leads to meticulously scope, plan, and deliver flawless LED solutions for all live events.

Inventory Management & Quality – Ensure the accuracy, availability, and quality of LED inventory, coordinating with Equipment Logistics and Engineering to manage gear maintenance and lifecycle effectively.

Vendor Relationships & Acquisitions – Maintain strong vendor relationships to continually evaluate new products, negotiate strategic equipment acquisitions, and ensure LMG retains cutting-edge display capabilities.

Safety & Quality Standards – Develop and rigorously enforce safety protocols, technical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality control procedures specifically tailored to LED technology and operations.

Budgeting & Forecasting – Support comprehensive budgeting and forecasting for the LED department, including capital expenditures and strategic labor planning tied to forecasted production volume.

Technical Resource & Advisor – Act as a primary technical resource for both internal stakeholders and external clients, providing expert advice on system capabilities, configuration options, and on-site execution strategies.

Emerging Technology Implementation – Proactively pilot and implement emerging LED technologies to continually enhance visual impact and differentiate client experiences.

Industry Representation – Represent LMG at vendor demos, client walkthroughs, industry conferences, and participate in brand-building initiatives focused on visual production.

What You Bring to the Table

Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing LED systems or similar display technologies in the live event industry

Deep technical expertise in LED display technologies, system design, and operational workflows

Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans

Exceptional leadership and team development abilities, capable of motivating and mentoring technical teams

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders

A track record of driving innovation and implementing new technologies

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and managing capital expenditures for technical departments
