Explore an exciting opportunity with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist as we welcome a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our anesthesia team at Davie Medical Center, a small community hospital.

What You’ll Do

As a valued member of our healthcare team, the CRNA will provide anesthesia using safe and high-quality techniques during pediatric procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Potential for and encouraged to precept Student Nurse Anesthetists – mentor and assess medical students.
  • Use medical decision‑making to determine appropriate peri-operative and anesthesia care plans, considering co-morbidities and age/development guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the medical team for effective team-based care; uphold patient safety, drive quality improvement, and promote infection prevention.
  • Document and maintain patient records per hospital standards and ensure confidentiality.
  • Maintain scheduling flexibility, readiness, and punctuality to deliver timely patient care.
  • Exhibit professionalism through teamwork and ongoing professional development; contribute to cost containment by conserving resources.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

The clinician operates under regulatory mandates from the appropriate licensing board with departmental credentialing as required by the institution.

CRNA Requirements
  • Graduation from an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program; Master’s Degree or higher required.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the North Carolina Board of Nursing; current NBC certification/recertification to practice as a Nurse Anesthetist.
  • Current CPR Certification – ACLS, BLS.
  • Ability to demonstrate clinical competency within the scope of granted privileges.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with diverse clinical teams.
