We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credentialing Coordinator to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about ensuring top-tier quality and compliance in physician credentialing and privileging. You’ll support our organization in maintaining the highest standards of healthcare delivery by verifying credentials, managing practitioner data, and ensuring seamless communication between our medical staff and committees.

This is a fully remote position for residents of Idaho, Oregon, Utah, or Arizona. Preferred location, Idaho.

What You Can Expect

  • Credentialing & Privileging Support: Manage the complete lifecycle of physician credentialing and privileging, ensuring timely processing and accuracy of all documentation; and analyze applications and supporting materials for completeness and eligibility, providing clear communication to practitioners regarding the status of their application.

  • Appointment and/or Reappointment Coordination: Oversee the onboarding or re-credentialing/reappointment process for healthcare providers, ensuring adherence to organizational and regulatory requirements.

  • Data Evaluation & Reporting: Compile and evaluate practitioner-specific data for review by decision-making bodies. Present accurate, actionable information for committees and leadership to ensure thorough review and compliance.

  • Compliance & Policy Management: Participate in continuous assessment and updating of governing documents (bylaws, policies, rules, and regulations) to maintain full compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Engage with physician leaders to develop and implement a criteria-based clinical privileging system, and coordinate meetings, take minutes, and provide meeting support to facilitate smooth communication within the medical staff organization.

  • Onboarding & Orientation Support: Assist in the development and coordination of provider onboarding processes, including orientation, training activities, and IT access setup.

  • Performance Monitoring & Incident Reporting: Support ongoing evaluations of privileged providers and assist with event reporting for any incidents requiring documentation of resolution.

  • Technology & Data Management: Utilize tools like Power BI, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) to manage data, track progress, and ensure accurate reporting of credentialing status to committees.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a medical office, medical staff, data entry

  • Working knowledge of medical credentialing, privileging, and primary source verification processes
