Project Superintendent

The Project Superintendent position manages union laborers and operators on heavy highway civil projects within the St. Louis Metro Area. The supervisors are required to have strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Job Duties

• Reviews Contract Documents
• Manages and leads operators and laborers throughout the duration of the project
• Schedules workers for daily tasks on each project
• Manages day‑to‑day operations & safety for each project
• Assists in gathering data for billing purposes
• Reviews and approves materials and equipment for project work.
• Coordinates activities, materials, procurement, & other related activities with Project Manager & Field Staff
• Communicates progress and prepares appropriate reports as needed by Project Manager, Project Director, Owner's Rep, Architect
• Represents company at weekly Project Owner's meetings
• Responsible for the scheduling and performance of all operators and laborers on each project
• Supervises, reviews, and coordinates submittals
• Ability to build and execute a project according to plan
• Some travel is required

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in Construction
• General understanding of reading plans & specifications in accordance with the construction of a project.
• General understanding of the IDOT & MODOT standard specification for road and bridge construction.
• Knowledge of pay items and job costing.
• GPS knowledge is a plus
• Some travel is required
