A Day in the Life: What You Will Do

As a DSP, you are the heart of our mission: empowering people. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Empowerment & Personal Care: Providing respectful, hands‑on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as personal hygiene, grooming, and mealtime support.
  • Behavioral Support & Advocacy: Serving as a compassionate partner, providing positive behavioral support, following person‑centered support plans, and assisting with de‑escalation.
  • Community & Integration: Being a bridge to the community. You'll support individuals with their goals, from transportation to appointments and hobbies to helping them thrive in community‑based jobs.
  • Health & Wellness: Supporting health and wellness by administering medications, assisting with mobility, and preparing nutritious meals.
What You Bring to the Table (Qualifications)

We believe in hiring for heart and training for skill. No professional experience is necessary.

What We Require (The Must‑Haves):

  • A compassionate, patient, and encouraging attitude
  • 18 years old or older
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and valid auto insurance
  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass a background check

What We Value (Our Ideal Candidate):

  • *** We Value Your Experience *** Have you been an unpaid family caregiver for a loved one? We recognize that your skills in scheduling, advocating, and providing care are valuable, and we will train you to become a Direct Support Professional.
  • Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Personal Care Aide (PCA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a major plus.
  • Experience supporting individuals with IDD, autism, or behavioral support needs is highly valued.
