A growing parish family in Mobile, Alabama, is seeking a full-time priest to serve in liturgical leadership, preaching, and pastoral care. This role involves coordinating Christian formation programs, supporting youth and family ministries, and encouraging lay leadership within the church. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a dynamic ministry team and actively participate in the Mobile community. A competitive salary package, pension, and medical benefits are included.
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is a vibrant and historic parish located in the heart of Mobile’s Spring Hill community. Founded in 1851, we have a large and multi-generational congregation, with more than 900 families who are both rooted in tradition and growing in grace. We share a deep connection with our Early Education Center and with St. Paul’s Episcopal School—one
the largest Episcopal schools in the nation. Our worship life is grounded in the beauty of the Book of Common Prayer, blending traditional liturgy with a spirit of joyful participation. We value thoughtful preaching and authentic pastoral presence. We offer a collegial staff, strong lay leadership, and the resources of a parish deeply invested in its people and its city. While we enjoy opportunities for spiritual formation at every stage of life, we recognize our need for additional growth in this area. We also consider ourselves to be a generous and outward-facing congregation, but we desire to grow in Christ’s love through service to the wider community and world.
