Description

The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by a NP/PA as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

What you will do

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our Ambulatory Infusion Centers. In this role, you will see a variety of patients requiring treatment for rare, chronic and autoimmune conditions. APP experience required, infusion experience preferred.

  • Oversee the specialty care clinic and infusion center from a clinical standpoint, completing patient assessments, charting and independent billing. Supervises and participates in non-oncology infusions, managing all reactions.
  • Collaborates with specialty pharmacy in completing clinical clearance on patients prior to the scheduling of treatment. Completes all final checks and positive identification of medications with administering nurse using positive identification prior to administration to assure use of correct ingredients, accurate calculations and precise measurements under appropriate conditions and procedures per the board of pharmacy.
  • Act as a resource to the registered nurses in the suite who are administering infusions.
