Job description

This role is responsible for the management of general ledger accounting, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial reporting and adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements. This position is crucial in maintaining efficient financial operations, enhancing process optimization, and supporting strategic financial planning initiatives.

Job responsabilities

Your Mission (Main Responsibilities)

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial reports, including all General Ledger (GL) activities, for multiple brands and legal entities.
  • Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, ensuring thorough analysis and providing detailed commentary to support findings.
  • Manage intercompany expense recharges, ensuring accurate allocation and documentation.
  • Oversee fixed asset maintenance and generate corresponding Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) reports for submission to Headquarters on a monthly basis, while also providing support during the budgeting process.
  • Maintain IFRS 16 reporting compliance, utilizing the internal LEASA tool for accurate tracking and documentation.
  • Support the forecasting of Balance Sheet and cash flow elements during the annual budgeting process.
  • Manage company secretarial filings to ensure adherence to all local regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual financial statement audits and tax compliance filings, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc projects, including the implementation of new accounting standards and evolving reporting requirements

Your Competencies and Experience (Skillset Requirements)

  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Hands-on experience with accounting software, preferably Dynamics AX, is essential. Robust analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are crucial for accurately managing financial transactions and preparing reliable financial reports.
  • Cash Management: Expertise in forecasting and budgeting cash flow, as well as related reporting, is highly desirable.
  • Financial Reporting: Comprehensive skills in financial reporting, including the preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations and in-depth analysis, are required. Candidates must be capable of managing intercompany expenses and recharges, while providing accurate and insightful financial commentary.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: A thorough understanding of compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control policies is essential. The candidate should be capable of maintaining mandates for changes in the bank authorization matrix and online banking systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced analytical skills are necessary to prepare various management reports and analyses. The candidate must be detail-oriented with the ability to manage and support ad hoc assignments effectively, conduct regular reviews, and proactively drive process improvements.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Fluency in English and Cantonese is required; proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous.
