Account Executive, Education Partnerships (Northeast) – Join to apply for the Account Executive, Education Partnerships (Northeast) role at Committee for Children (CFC).

As an Account Executive, Education Partnerships, you will oversee assigned territories in the Northeast region to drive district priorities and initiatives focused on human skills and social-emotional learning (SEL). Success requires strong consultative sales skills and a proactive, self-motivated approach to building new business. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in selling digitally delivered instructional products and services and understands the K–12 education landscape. You’ll be responsible for driving customer acquisition and supporting districts in meeting quarterly and annual revenue goals.
Responsibilities
- Drive new sales and adoption of CFC programs within an assigned territory using consultative techniques and account strategies to meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and discovery through evaluation, procurement, and close—maintaining a strong pipeline of opportunities.
- Identify key decision-makers, build relationships, and position CFC programs as solutions to specific needs and challenges.
- Develop and execute strategic territory plans informed by industry trends, competitive insights, and market feedback to grow adoption in the PreK–12 market.
- Overcome objections by focusing on the value and impact of CFC’s solutions.
- Deliver presentations and consultations to districts and schools to support informed decision-making and onboarding of new CFC program adoptions.
- Report on pipeline status, forecasts, account plans, and field activity to support data-driven planning and execution.
- Maintain detailed records of prospect interactions, opportunity stages, and pipeline activities in the CRM; support forecasting and territory planning.
- Represent CFC at national and regional conferences, local events, and district meetings to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation of sales strategies and inform product/market development with customer insights.
- Stay current on the education sector, including funding trends, competitor offerings, and policy changes, to refine approach and positioning.
Market and Program Knowledge
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of CFC products, SEL market trends, school districts, competitive landscape, funding policies, and related legislation.
- Develop ongoing relationships with district and school leaders; understand client initiatives and implementation practices.
- Act as an advisor to partners and district leaders for applying and implementing programs in diverse educational and community settings.
- Adapt to changing product, market, and cultural contexts and assist customers with program reviews and digital product purchases.
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to travel on average 10–15 days per month (travel varies by business needs).
- 3+ years of sales experience in the edtech industry.
- Proven success in consultative sales, with full sales-cycle experience from prospecting to close.
- Experience selling digital instructional products or services, especially in the K–12 sector.
- Strong knowledge of the PreK–12 landscape, including funding sources and district decision-making structures.
- Skilled at delivering persuasive presentations and tailoring messaging to diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute territory plans that drive new business.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet revenue targets.
- Software: MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook; CRM experience (NetSuite, Salesforce, etc.).
Travel and Location
Note: This position is remote and we are currently considering candidates who reside in CT, MA, NJ, NY, PA, VA.
Compensation
Annual base pay range: $90,000–$110,000, with a target incentive of 25% of base for meeting goals and up to 100% of base for exceeding goals. Actual base pay reflects job-related knowledge, skills, and experience plus internal equity.
