Job summary

A leading marine services company in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional to oversee the inspection and installation of engines and machinery. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the Marine or Offshore / Oil & Gas Industry and possess strong supervisory skills. Responsibilities include coordinating service activities, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with standards. Candidates must hold a Diploma in Engineering and demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years working experience in Marine or Offshore / Oil & Gas Industry.
• Competent in report writing and English speaking.
• Demonstrated ability to handle work independently and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, installation, and chocking of engines and machinery.

Department: Chockfast Department
Reporting to: Business Manage – Chockfast

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform inspection, installation, chocking of engines, stern tubes, deck machinery on variety of vessels
• Communicate with superior for briefing of service related works
• Prepare necessary service report, ISO work instructions, risk assessment and checklist for all works
• Coordinate with customers for planning and scheduling of activities prior to commencement of work and ensure appropriate approvals for the same
• Manpower and work schedule planning, mentor and supervise technicians in performing the service job
• Attend local and overseas seminars and conferences about new and high technology shipbuilding processes and trends.
• Responsible in maintaining the workshop, plant equipments, tools in good order and maintenance of good housekeeping in all job locations
• Report and document the activities carried out in line with the ISO standards and company requirements
• Establish and maintain high degree of discipline among the workforce
• Any other tasks as and when assigned by the management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL:

Technical / Professional:

• At least Diploma in Engineering
• At least 5 years working experience in Marine or Offshore / Oil & Gas Industry

Technological:

• Competent in Microsoft Office
• English speaking and report writing

General:

• Ability to work well under pressure
• Demonstrate ability to handle work professionally, independently and efficiently
• Detailed-oriented
• Excellent supervisory and mentorship skills

People/Relations:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
