Platform Mission is responsible for Spotify’s tech infrastructure, including our cloud services, data ecosystem, and client infrastructure. This role will guide and oversee the Insights work across the Mission. The role includes driving the Mission level Insights Strategy, which explains, for example, the performance of our Tech ecosystem to Spotify Executives. It also includes working with individual leaders and their teams on specific aspects such as data storage or security.
What You'll Do- Articulate and facilitate a clear metrics strategy for the Mission and Spotify’s tech leadership, covering a wide range of aspects, from cloud costs to engineering productivity.
- Be an assertive driver of metrics quality and form high-value insights informing Platform Missions investments and decision-making. Collaborate closely with individual leaders on key aspects of our insights strategy, such as the technical health of our ecosystem.
- Evaluate and provide step-changing improvements to improving data engineering for insights. Improve accuracy of data and trust in insights.
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for a team of Insights practitioners, including Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Data Scientists.
- Foster Spotify's values within your team while setting new standards in execution and insights excellence.
- Collaborate effectively with senior Insights leaders across Spotify to elevate the impact of Insights teams.
Who You Are- You have extensive experience managing insights teams across complex business units.
- You have domain expertise in technical infrastructure and platform teams.
- You believe in actionable insights that enable executive decision-making. You can eloquently articulate deep technical implications visible in data, so it is easy to follow for a potentially non-technical audience.
- You are an inspirational leader who fosters in and around your team passion for data and a commitment to insights excellence.
- You have a proven track record of influencing decision-making at all levels within an organization and in various contexts.
Where You'll Be- This role will ideally be located in Sweden or London. There is flexibility for potentially one of our other EMEA locations, excluding Netherlands, Germany, and France for now due to on-call restrictions, with frequent collaboration with teams in London, Stockholm, New York, and other European and US locations.
