About this opportunity

Welcome to the Network architecture and design team. As the Lead Senior IT Security Specialist, you’ll play a valuable role as a key stakeholder in business projects across the whole organisation. You will work closely with the platform owner and the architecture team as the lead specialist, mainly focusing on engineering and architectural tasks, and contribute to our engineering roadmap.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Participation in projects
  • Roadmap and architectural work
  • Be the lead specialist in the team
  • Be our speaking partner with vendors
  • Write technical documentation
  • Present material for stakeholders and other technical areas
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement network security best practices
  • Ensure that our processes and work instructions are up to date and collaborate with our outsourcing partner when needed
  • Actively participate in team meetings, provide insights, and contribute to discussions
  • Utilize Agile methodology to manage tasks efficiently and contribute to a collaborative work environment
  • Work with JIRA and Ticketing Tool BMC

To succeed in this role, we believe that you have:
  • Proficiency in Firewall area
  • Certified in CheckPoint FW
  • Proficiency in Threat Prevention area
  • Familiarity with network protocols
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools
  • Experience with Agile methodology, Jira/Kanban
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively towards shared goals and objectives
  • High quality communication
  • Helping attitude
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
Your experience and background:
  • 5+ years of experience in IT industry with practical experience in network or security field
  • Previous experience of architectural work within the FW area
Good to have:
  • Work experience within a large network environment with strict change control
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python would be a great asset
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and technologies
  • University degree is appreciated
  • Interest in security and networks area
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the field
  • Ability to work in stressful situations and sometimes under pressure
  • Sense of humour and open-mindedness
