In our High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems department, we test and verify equipment and software for our innovative HVDC projects at the testing center in Forchheim (Germany - assignment abroad) and ensure the proper functionality and great quality of our HVDC installations worldwide during their commissioning.

Your Contribution:

  1. Contribute to performing and documenting functional tests (FPT) and dynamic tests (DPT) of our C&P equipment and software, including acceptance tests for the client in our testing center.
  2. Responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating component tests at our subcontractors' factories (acceptance tests).
  3. Commission high voltage switchgear, current and voltage transformers, power transformers, auxiliary power systems, including auxiliary circuit tests and their integration with HVDC system control and protection.
  4. Prepare and execute test procedures and test programs for converter control systems, including necessary verification documentation.
  5. Responsible for technically flawless commissioning of HVDC systems on-site in a timely manner, including testing related main components and auxiliary systems.

Our Requirements:

  1. Higher education in electrical engineering, power engineering, or related qualifications/experience.
  2. Good knowledge of at least one of the following areas: network protection systems / protective relays and BCU (DIGSI / Siprotec V4/5), testing with MATLAB / SIMULINK, Siemens SIMATIC TDC / S7, CFC.
  3. Knowledge or professional experience in electrical engineering and commissioning of substations or HVDC systems.
  4. Familiarity with current and voltage measurement devices and other basic devices (Omicron).
  5. Fluent in English; knowledge of other foreign languages is an advantage.
  6. Willingness to travel worldwide and primarily long-term assignments at construction sites in Germany and abroad, as well as optionally assignments on offshore platforms.
  7. Teamwork skills, communication, positive attitude, decision-making ability.

The scope of its engineering activities includes turnkey projects (EPC, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), implementations based on HVAC and HVDC technologies, as well as projects based on gas and steam turbines, hydrogen solutions, or systems combining the above into hybrid setups.
