The Director of Curriculum, Accreditation & Professional Development is required ASAP, with some flexibility for the right candidate.

If you are ready to mobilize for an ASAP start and eager to embrace a unique curriculum leadership opportunity in a remarkably wonderful location in the Middle East, then look no further than this chance to work with motivated local children in a cultural setting that will enhance your skills with students for whom English is not their first language. Located in Oman, this small international school caters for Omani students, with some western expatriates, from KG to Grade 12, offering an adapted version of the National Curriculum of England and Wales.

The primary responsibility of the Director of Curriculum and Accreditation is to manage the development, implementation, and review of the school’s curriculum. The Director, in partnership with the Campus Principals, is responsible for the management of the compliance requirements of the Omani Ministry of Education and of external international educational authorities such as CIS, Cambridge, and BSME, with the key responsibility of co-leading the School through the CIS re-accreditation process over the next 18 months.

Applicants must be qualified and offer a preferred five years of consistent and relevant experience; a background of teaching and leadership overseas with the British curriculum is a requirement. Ideally, you will have similar or related experience in line with curriculum development and management. Command of the English Language must be impeccable.

  1. Middle Leadership development

  3. Mentoring acting Primary Principal
  4. KG development, mentoring, and overseeing (staff & curriculum)
  5. Development of Teacher Standards & Appraisals
  6. Curriculum mapping KG - 12
  7. Upskilling teachers
  8. Omani Teacher Assistant to Teacher training/development
  9. CIS Accreditation process

As per Ministry of Education requirements, you should possess one of the following:

  1. PhD in Quality or Educational Management
  2. Master's degree in Quality or Educational Management
  3. Bachelor's degree in Quality or Educational Management
Essential Experience Required:
  1. Developing young teachers
  2. Teacher training experience
  3. Experience offering quality & interactive PD
  4. Full understanding & experience in KG
  5. Principal &/or Campus Principal experience
  6. Taught KG, Primary & Secondary
  7. Understand/experience with the Accreditation process (preferably CIS)
  8. Experience with Curriculum development
  9. Previous experience in ME
Salary and Benefits:
  1. A very generous tax-free salary of 2000 - 3500 OMR per month depending on qualifications and experience
