Title: Consultant / Specialist - Pulmonology

Location: Muscat, Oman

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in medicine
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree
  • 3 to 7 years of internship and clinical residency training, specializing in pulmonology
  • Valid and active medical license in the state you practice
  • Fellowship or its equivalent such as Arab Board/Indian Board to practice as a Pulmonologist

Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years

License:

  • Valid MoH License as a Consultant or Specialist Pulmonologist (for Candidates within Oman)
  • For candidates applying outside of Oman, should be eligible to have a medical license as per the Oman MoH category
  • Hold a valid medical license from your home country

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing and treating conditions, such as asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema
  • Using and interpreting pulmonological exams and tests to aid in the diagnosis of cardiopulmonary diseases and conditions, including CT scans, chest fluoroscopies, ultrasounds, and bronchoscopies
  • Performing various specialized procedures in order to acquire samples of the chest wall lining or the lungs, for further analysis
  • Providing immunizations against preventable cardiopulmonary diseases
  • Referring patients to cardiothoracic surgeons, when necessary
  • Providing support and advice to patients receiving long-term care
