We are hiring a Terminal Operations Manager in Vlaardingen as part of the terminal management team.

The Terminal Operations Manager is leading the Neste Terminal Rotterdam operations team in order to realise 24/7 safe, compliant and sustainable operations. You are responsible for developing your direct reports and the organisational capabilities of the operations team. You play a critical role in meeting statutory and regulatory requirements and managing the risks on the terminal. The Terminal Operations Manager reports to the Head of Sluiskil and Netherlands Terminal and works closely together with his/her counterpart in the maintenance department in order to ensure safe, compliant and reliable terminal operations.

Your role in creating a sustainable future

• You are responsible for 24/7 safe, compliant and sustainable terminal operations
• You ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
• You are responsible for continuous improvement of terminal operations by applying lean principles in developing and optimising systems and processes
• You are responsible for people and organisational capability development in line with Neste values and processes
• You are responsible for the commissioning and start-up of (CAPEX) projects
• Together with the maintenance manager, you form the terminal management team and ensure safe, compliant and reliable terminal operations

Keys to success in this role

• HBO professional and intellectual skills
• 5 - 10 years working experience in terminal operations
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Safety leader role model
• Proven leadership abilities: ability to give direction, foster team collaboration and develop people
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of key KPI’s
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
• Good command of the Dutch and English language
