The **Accounting Compliance F&A Expert** is responsible for the maintenance of accounting compliance and operation for European Entities, support standardized way of working that enable adoption of GFA operating model, Accounting integration framework for new M&As.In this role you will ensure SEU Governance and compliance standards are met by entities, and take responsibility for Group and external reporting accuracy. The role has strong business partnering function as you need to work closely with the entities’ teams, and Sony's.You will join a team who are supportive and friendly, with a manager can support you to be structured and organised. This position will give you a broad range of responsibilities and areas to learn and grow from, including working with entities across EU and globally, working with and reviewing Tax provided by external consultants, and covering smaller volumes of high-value transactions. The main challenges for the role are with deadline management, and encouraging your entities to provide the information you need on time.**You will:****Record-to-Report/Local Statutory Support*** Oversee Group and/or Statutory reporting for European entities.* Perform Secretarial work for SOHBV is accurately, on time, and in line with internal processes.* Manage all AP postings and payments and regulatory submissions to local authorities.* Support maintenance of SAP-S4HANA according to requirements (e.g. alternative accounts, perform UAT etc.).* Support the External Audit work, External Reporting Team in Statutory related activities.* Support coordination of statutory, tax and audit queries by Region/Business Group.* Support Global Tax Office (GTO) and Global Treasury Services (SGTS) requests (GL/tax/VAT/Intrastat returns.)* Ensure preparation, legal documentation, and meetings of entities is completed to scheduled timelines with the Global Tax Office, Sony Global Treasury Services, Legal Affairs Europe.* Support the Senior Accounting Officer UK legislation for SEU entities, perform the needed checks and follow ups.* PILAR2 support for European entities and prepare for SOHBV.**Finance Process Management:*** Deliver financially accurate financial information, compliance, efficient proactive finance support and technical finance expertise to internal customers.**Process Improvement, and Service Management:*** Identifying deviations from Global Process Model and work toward harmonization.* Optimise tools and systems available to provide automated financial and operational information* Communicate and mitigate any issues affecting Finance Accounting performance levels or Regional info.**Financial / Technical Compliance:*** Ensure all finance and commercial activities comply with the effective application of agreed Sony Corporate Accounting Policy, SOX Control Procedures, local statutory requirements and Governance Systems* Support document retention in line with Sony policy and legal requirements.* Responsible for Group and external reporting accuracy for entities in scope* Ensure SEU Governance and compliance standards are met by entities* Roll out standard minimum control framework for entities based on SEU’s* Works toward Global Process Model harmonization, standardization and adaptation/integration* Promote seamless working together with the SGFA functions* Business Partnering for the entities in scope**You will bring:*** Degree qualified or Part/Fully qualified accountant, or equivalent relevant experience* Expertise within core finance process areas i.e. record-to-report, or purchase-to-pay, or controlling* Expertise of SAP ERP System, advanced Excel* Experience in a Global business within a multi-currency & country environment* Working with Internal and External customers/business partners at various levels* Consumer & business technology industry would be beneficial* Experience of IFRS/USGAAP preferred**Your new office**Our office is located close to Schiphol Airport and Hoofddorp station in Park20|20.
