The positionThe Product Manager for Commercial UPS and Light Industrial UPS portfolio is responsible to implement an optimum portfolio in line with customer and market requirements. Ensures right product positioning depending on local market requirements, internal and external product benchmarking and manages product life cycle.
Main requirements- Report out on revenue, VM, price, cost reduction targets and highlight to the business product or market issues.
- Lead internal processes to define and implement AEG portfolio roadmap in close collaboration with business development, marketing and sales.
- Manage product life cycle and develop marketing strategies.
- Gather and analyze feedback from sales, marketing, business development, market (competition analysis).
- Analyze, develop, implement and monitor successful current portfolio, future portfolio roadmap and pricing of portfolio.
- Proposes the optimal supply chain for OEM or ODM products, assists Operations with the implementation.
- Collaborate with Purchasing in the negotiation of contracts terms with new and existing OEM or ODM suppliers, to ensure technical and commercial support from the suppliers.
- Prepare, elaborate and maintain portfolio specifications and requirements for existing portfolio, new product development or purchase of products (OEM or ODM products).
- Decide and ensure all necessary information is available on product launches.
- Create and maintain a portfolio roadmap.
- Develop business cases for new product features or development.
- Ensure cost effectiveness in new product development and/or improve existing products in close collaboration with R&D and procurement.
- Makes sure that Sales, Field Application Engineering, Application Engineering and Service receive training and technical information to support their activities during the product lifecycle, involving the OEM/ODM suppliers.
- Prepare and lead product presentations and publications.
- Defines AEG PS global portfolio strategy in line with managing board and business strategies.
- Support Legal Entities with product information (product presentations, standard technical documentation, competitive analysis) and planned technical trainings.
- Interaction with suppliers (main Factory, R&D and Sales Teams) for product development of AEG PS Commercial UPS OEM & ODM products.
- Prepare Price list for commercial UPS Products and approve any price requests outside of the standard product range or pricing strategy.
- Approve any bid request that will require Engineering, R&D or supplier resources/changes.
Qualifications and Requirements- Must be Electrical Engineer or similar.
- Good knowledge of electrical systems and power electronic products.
- Ideally good knowledge of competitors’ products and service strategies within the UPS sectors.
- 3-5 years of experience in technical & commercial roles in power electronics industries.
- Computer Literacy.
- Fluent in English at least B2.
