WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As a member of the international Eurotech team, you will work within the IoT Edge team and interact with a variety of other teams, such as Linux & Cloud Engineering, Technical Support, Sales, and Sales Engineering. Being a part of the IoT Edge team means being surrounded by passionate, motivated, and enthusiastic developers who are determined to develop software solutions for the IoT Edge. The team is involved in state-of-the-art technology and has a chance to interact with large enterprise customers worldwide.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will be involved in all aspects of software product development including design, implementation, and testing, employing cutting-edge technologies and following good software engineering practices and the Agile Software methodology. The right candidate will have the opportunity to join a highly skilled international team; they will actively contribute to leading open source IoT projects and engage with global customers worldwide. As a Software Engineer for the IoT Edge team, you will contribute to the complete software development life cycle, from initial design to ongoing maintenance, ensuring the creation of high-quality, efficient, and secure software solutions.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate in building systems for collecting, transporting, storing, and analyzing data collected by physical or virtualized (Dockerized) systems.
• Establish parameters and design the architecture of new software.
• Design, write, and test new software functionalities for IoT and EDGE AI.
• Contribute to open-source projects.
• Assist in writing software documentation.
• Develop software features using internationally recognized software security practices.

WHO YOU ARE

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or related field.
• Programming skills in Java and/or C++/C#.
• Basic experience with scripting languages like Bash, sh, or Python.
• Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming.
• Basic experience with Linux operating systems.
• Basic experience with Linux networks, including cellular connections, Wi-Fi, routing, and firewalls.
• Fundamentals of data storage languages such as SQL.
• Fundamentals of networking and communication (TCP, UDP, TLS).
• Fundamentals of version control software such as Git.
• Fundamentals of software testing (JUnit or similar).
• Fundamentals of building systems such as Maven or Gradle.
• Fundamentals of AGILE development methodologies.
• (Bonus) Fundamentals of IT security.
• (Bonus) Experience with frontend development.
• Knowledge of the English language.
