About the Position

As a Line Cook, you will enhance the overall Resident experience through exceptional food production and control of the quality and quantity of all food items prepared in the station. You will model a professional, friendly, courteous, and helpful manner, resulting in a high level of satisfaction for Residents and their guests. The position is under the general guidance of the Executive Chef in accordance with Community standards, processes, procedures, practices, and philosophy.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Culinary Arts or Culinary Apprenticeship, preferred.
• One or more years of experience cooking in a fast-paced, cook-to-order kitchen, preferred.
• One or more years of experience with scratch cooking, preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English to communicate with staff and Residents.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting for extended periods.
• Ability to lift or carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform all essential functions within varying temperature ranges.
