Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial Manager to join our finance team in the renewable energy sector, specifically focused on solar energy projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing accounting, financial control, and project finance functions. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Accounting:
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards (Italian GAAP/IFRS) and company policies.
- Support in maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling accounts.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, expense reports, and financial transactions.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of financial forecasts and annual budgets for solar projects.
- Track and report on budget variances, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor financial performance metrics, including cash flow and profitability.
Project Finance:
- Support the Senior Financial Manager in evaluating and structuring project financing for solar installations.
- Assist in the financial modeling of solar projects, including profitability analysis, debt structuring, and return on investment (ROI).
- Work with cross-functional teams to analyze potential risks and ensure the financial viability of new projects.
Financial Control and Auditing:
- Implement financial controls and ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
- Assist in the coordination of internal and external audits.
- Monitor adherence to corporate governance and financial regulatory requirements.
Cash Flow and Capital Management:
- Assist in managing the company’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds for operations and project execution.
- Work closely with the Senior Financial Manager to optimize capital allocation for solar projects.
- Track funding sources, including loans, grants, and private investments.
Tax and Regulatory Compliance:
- Assist in the preparation and submission of tax filings and regulatory reports in both local and international jurisdictions.
- Stay updated on relevant tax laws and renewable energy incentives affecting solar projects.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, investors, and stakeholders.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making on project investments and expansions.
Requirements:
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Languages: Fluency in both English and Italian (verbal and written).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced) for financial analysis and modeling.
- Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial control, and auditing processes.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in finance, preferably in renewable energy, project finance, or related sectors.
- Experience with project finance in solar or renewable energy projects is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with renewable energy policies, incentives, and project financing structures.
- Knowledge of financial modeling for solar projects, including PPA (Power Purchase Agreements), CAPEX, and OPEX analysis.
