Job Title: EHS & MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST
Reporting To: Operations & Logistic Manager
Work Schedule: Hybrid – Varese, IT
Moog’s Industrial Group designs and manufactures high performance motion control solutions, combining electric, hydraulic, and hybrid technologies with expert consultative support in a wide range of technologies including power generation, industrial production machinery, simulation and test equipment. We help performance-driven companies design and develop their next-generation machines.
MAJOR FUNCTION OF THE JOB:
- Maintenance of a healthy & safe and efficient environment (internally and externally).
- Compliance to Health & Safety and Environmental applicable regulations Dlgs 81/2008 & Dlgs 152/2006.
- Maintenance of a Health, Safety and Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 principles.
- Efficient maintenance of equipment and buildings.
- Lean advocate and practitioner.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for ensuring Health & Safety risk assessments (DVR) are complete and reflect the latest regulations applicable. Work with Team Leaders to ensure adherence to Health & Safety guidelines.
- Responsible for all building maintenance budgets and contracts including make/buy decisions on services, e.g. cleaning, security, maintenance etc. Responsible for ensuring Moog Italiana – Malnate site engages with proven suppliers under competitive services contracts.
- Ensuring compliance with: Fire Precautions and Site Fire Risk Assessments, Electrical Safety Regulations and Pressure System Regulations, Lifting Equipment Regulations and all other Safety Regulations, according to Dlgs 81/2008.
- Lean targets and budget adherence on Safety and Facility maintenance.
- Manage the process to ensure adherence to EHS regulations according to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 principles.
- Developing and Implementing best practice within all areas of responsibility, ensuring customer satisfaction by order fulfillment on time to the required safety regulations (DUVRI).
- Responsible for first line disaster recovery plan. Ensures emergency services are made aware of hazards and that relevant department heads are aware and understand their role in recovery processes.
- Responsible for internal training on Health & Safety principles.
- Maintain records and processes for monitoring EHS processes.
- Maintain records and processes for monitoring machinery breakdowns and maintenance.
- Report regularly to site manager on EHS issues and to EHS corporate organization.
Ideal Profile:
An engineering related degree with a minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant experience in EHS role, deep knowledge of Dlgs 81/2008 and Dlgs 152/2006, and ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 principles. English fluent.
