Job Responsibilities

1. Person at this position has gained significant work experience to be able to apply their knowledge effectively and deliver results.
2. Regularly interacts with interfacing groups/customers on technical issue clarification and resolves the issues. Reaches out for guidance and advice to ensure high quality of deliverables.

4. Works under limited supervision of Team Lead/Project Manager.

Technical Responsibilities

1. Responsible for design, coding, testing, bug fixing, documentation, and technical support in the assigned area.
2. Responsible for on-time delivery while adhering to quality and productivity goals.
3. Adheres to guidelines and checklists for all deliverable reviews, sends status reports to team lead, and follows relevant organizational processes.
4. Responsible for customer collaboration and interactions and supports customer queries.
5. Expected to enhance technical capabilities by attending training, self-study, and periodic technical assessments.
6. Expected to participate in technical initiatives related to project and organization and deliver training as per plan and quality.

Education and Experience Required

Engineering graduate, MCA, etc. Experience: 2-5 years.

Protocol Testing Responsibilities

1. Modem/UE Protocol Stack Testing.
2. Interoperability testing of the modem with various Network operators and dealing with NEM labs (Ericsson, Nokia, Alcatel Lucent).
3. Ability to understand network scenarios (signaling & user plane call flow), develop test plans and test cases, and execute those test cases using an automation framework. Collects the required log and analysis/debug issues being found as part of regression.
4. Should be proficient in all 3GPP Radio Access Technologies (RAT) with air interface, network signaling, and Layer 2, Layer 3 protocols of UE & RAN side, also NAS layer from UE and core network.
5. Automation using PERL/Python/TTCN scripting languages.

Platforms and Tools

Platforms: Internal and customer-specific platforms (Linux host).

Technology Standard: 3GPP specifications. Thorough understanding of the network vendor tests.

Tools: QXDM, QCAT, QPST, Prism, Anritsu, Keysight Test instrument knowledge, Test scripting like RTD (for Anritsu) or equivalent, Trace/log collection tools, core dump analysis tools, flashing tools.
