What You’ll Do
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead a diverse range of wellness and engagement activities—from arts & crafts and music therapy to gardening and community visits.
  • Tailor activities to suit individual residents’ interests, preferences, and capabilities.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes dignity, autonomy, and enjoyment.
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to ensure every resident has the opportunity to engage meaningfully.
  • Collaborate with the care team to support residents’ emotional and social well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress.
  • Contribute during audits, inspections, and wellness-related initiatives.
  • Build partnerships with volunteers, families, and local organisations to enhance the wellness program.
  • Adhere to best practices in infection control, health and safety, and safeguarding.
  • Be available to work flexible shifts including some evenings and weekends.
What We’re Looking For
  • QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support (or equivalent) - ideally with modules in activities, leisure, or social care.
  • Previous experience delivering activities or working with older adults in a care or community setting is desirable.
  • Creative mindset with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - with a warm, empathetic approach.
  • Passion for enhancing quality of life and supporting person-centred care.
  • Willingness to participate in training and continuous improvement programs.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and on your own initiative.
