Are you an Underwriter looking for a new challenge in a start-up environment? We're currently looking for an experienced Underwriter to join our fun, dynamic, and mostly remote team.

Reporting to the Head of Underwriting you will be have a high level of underwriting authority to ensure prudent underwriting of life and disability applications. The successful candidate will ensure that underwriting is performed in adherence to our strategy and guidelines as well as organisational policies.

We're looking for someone who:

Has a life and disability underwriter background.
Has a thorough knowledge of the Irish protection market, products and benefits as well as legislation, regulations and standards applicable to life and disability underwriting.
Has a sound understanding of the customer ‘protection’ journey end to end and the relevant systems and processes.
Has excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and a strong commitment to deliver on service standards and supporting the AIB advisor teams.
Will work closely with our Chief Medical Officer and Reinsurers, and has the ability to build positive relationships and partnerships with clients, advisors, and key role-players.
Has analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Is a people person with good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
