A national charity in Ireland is seeking a Treasurer to join their Board of Trustees. The successful candidate will provide expertise in financial management, oversee compliance, and help evaluate financial controls. This voluntary position requires approximately 3 to 4 hours per month, including virtual Board meetings and one annual in-person meeting in Dublin. CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) Ireland is a national charity supporting families affected by sudden cardiac death and inherited cardiac conditions. Founded in 2002, CRY provides free family support services across the island of Ireland and is guided by a new five-year strategy based on five core pillars: Family Support, Awareness, Fundraising, Research, and Governance. CRY receives no government funding and relies on the generosity of individuals, communities, and organisations.
CRY Ireland are seeking an individual with proven knowledge in financial management or accountancy to take on the role of Treasurer and join the Board of Trustees.
This is a voluntary position. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future of CRY Ireland while working alongside a dedicated and passionate team of staff, volunteers, and fellow Trustees.
There will be 5 Board meetings per year.
The role requires approximately 3–4 hours per month, including payment approvals and financial oversight activities.
Meetings are normally held virtually with one in person meeting in Dublin per year.
