Solicitor Traineeship (Dublin) Start Date: 1 January 2026

Roles and Responsibilities

· Reviewing and drafting legal documents related to public and private investment fund formation and maintenance, cross-border distribution, and ongoing investment fund governance.

· Preparing legal memoranda for clients on various topics related to investment funds, cross-border matters, and securities law.

· Researching investment funds law and market practice in European and non-European jurisdictions.

· Supporting fund governance processes and company secretarial matters (e.g. fund board meetings).

· Tracking developments in investment fund law as well as creating and presenting corresponding informational material for internal and external parties.

· Reviewing and negotiating contracts related to the asset management industry.

· Compiling, completing, and filing of applications for financial regulators in a variety of countries, and all associated communications.

· Using legal knowledge of investment funds to support legal technology, specifically for legal technology leveraging generative AI and Large Language Models.

About Your Required Skills

· You will have some knowledge and a keen interest in UCITS, AIFMD, and European investment law.

· You will have completed or be close to passing your FE1 exams.

· You will be dedicated to completing your solicitor training for the next two years and potentially progressing to a permanent position with us.

· You will have strong curiosity and desire to learn about international law, foreign market practice and global developments, including the Middle East, Asia, and United States.

· You will have an excellent manner with clients and be keen for client-facing responsibilities.

· You will have a strong academic record and a mature intellect.

· You will bring a high level of energy, self-starter attitude and enthusiasm to the job.

· You have the ability to work both collaboratively and independently on projects.

· You are comfortable presenting and communicating with clients, including large and prestigious asset management firms.

· You might be proficient in other European languages in addition to English.

· You are naturally conscientious and meticulous.

· You possess a strong sense of ownership, duty, and responsibility for your work.

· You have excellent communication skills and can work well with others.
