Job description

We're looking for a motivated and analytical Trainee Actuary to join our General Insurance Personal Lines Pricing & Trading team in Dublin June 2026. You’ll support the Personal Lines Pricing Lead and collaborate with colleagues from across Pricing & Trading, Product & Underwriting, Customer, Marketing, Finance and IT, to deliver market leading pricing structures and to provide market pricing solutions for new initiatives and to current business problems.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare suitable pricing analyses to support recommendations to the Ireland Pricing Forum to deliver planned profitability, premium and policy targets, fair pricing outcomes and drive rating change in the market.
  • Develop models of customer buying behaviour pricing models using the cutting-edge techniques.
  • Monitor the performance of pricing decisions and use insight to enhance modelling assumptions and processes. Using findings to deliveractionable insightsand recommendations to stakeholders across the business, including tailoring market rates to maximise performance.
  • Support the pricing change process, requests and new pricing development.
  • Developing skills in industry-standard tools (e.g. SQL, Python, Radar, Emblem where appropriate).
  • Contributing toad-hoc pricing and trading projects, supporting initiatives to improve performance and profitability.
Skills & Experience
  • Relevant degree ideally in an Actuarial / Statistical / Mathematical qualification.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Curious mindset with ability to explain the story behind the numbers.
  • Experience with SQL is desirable; familiarity with Radar or Emblem is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills to present findings and influence stakeholders.
